Trudi grew up on a dairy farm just north of Whangarei. She attended Hukerenui Primary School and Kamo High School, then went on to Northland Polytechnic to attain her Chartered Accounting qualification.
Trudi and her husband Pete left Whangarei in 1991 and spent five years in Tokoroa and five years in Taurmarunui where Pete was involved in forestry silviculture. They moved to the Bay of Plenty in 2001 where she started working at BRG. In 2003 Trudi became a partner with Viv Brownrigg in BRG.
Dairy Farm accounting is a real passion for Trudi. She particularly enjoys working with farmers and helping them to achieve their goals. Making sure her clients understand exactly what their financial statements and budgets mean is vitally important. Trudi has spent three years on the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants's Primary Sector Committee where she was part of a 10 member committee of Chartered Accountants from throughout New Zealand that liaised with the likes of IRD's Policy Division, MAF and the Minister of Revenue.
During her spare time Trudi enjoys reading, relaxing by the beach in summer, skiing in winter and tramping - though with two teen age children that spare time can sometimes be limited!
Trudi can be contacted by email at trudib@busres.co.nz
